I decided to try to test myself and create a new brand. Prior to this I had not created a food/beverage brand.
I decided to call it after the Urals because of no others with the name and the ability to tie in an icon reflecting the location and landscape. I played with a more soviet typeface scheme to add to the iconography of the brand. I also enjoyed the idea that the brand can bring up images of the mountains. The ability to play with the connotations of both Europe and Asia (the Urals are the physical boundary between the two continents) are interesting strengths.
On the bottle itself, the mountain points up to the cap, subtly informing the viewer to open it.
